My Story

My fiction writing started with my violin playing. I learned that Mozart, and composers like him, composed such intricate, orchestral music because someone else was rich enough to pay for an orchestra, and for the composer’s time. This got me thinking about how composers made their money. That led me to consider how they led their lives, and more specifically, with the other people in their lives. I focus mostly on women, as they are the unwritten about forces in many famous lives. 

Since that start, I’ve written more than a dozen novels, mostly about composers and the women in their lives. These novels cross many nations, including what is now Germany, Russia, Italy, and the United Kingdom.

I’ve also written several novels in which a modern-day Renaissance fair, through time travel, gets some of its players directly from Elizabethan England. These were inspired by some awesome actors I encountered at many Renaissance fairs.
